We recently launched legal action for owners to pursue compensation claims arising from Nissan and Renault emissions issues, similar to the VW, Mercedes and other actions we are involved with.

If you have yet to start your claim, here is some information for you about the issues, our No Win, No Fee representation, and how you can contact the team today. We are representing a number of clients for cases and have been doing so for the last few weeks, and we have launched our legal action for justice.

As specialist Group Action Lawyers, we are active in over 50 different group and multi-party cases, several of which are for emissions issues where we have represented thousands of clients.

About the Nissan and Renault emissions issues

So far, there has not been any official recalls over alleged Nissan and Renault emissions issues here in the UK, but there has been some action elsewhere. In South Korea in 2017, a finding of guilt was established against several carmakers for the use of defeat device technology. Nissan and Renault (part of the Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance) dispute that they have engaged in any kind of unlawful behaviour, but there is evidence that suggests otherwise.

What we do know is that independent testing information from the DfT (Department for Transport) suggests that there may be discrepancies that need closer attention. As such, we have launched a legal action for owners as we look to get to the bottom of the allegations and find out if any unlawful behaviour has occurred.

If it has, we will hold them to account.

Our No Win, No Fee action

We are already representing a large number of clients for cases over potential Nissan and Renault emissions issues. Because we believe that there is a case to answer, despite the denials from the manufacturers, we are taking claims forward now on a No Win, No Fee basis.

We only work this way when we are confident enough that there is a case to answer. We believe in access to justice, so it is important that we are able to offer to work this way for our clients.

Our No Win, No Fee means that we can write off legal fees that we incur if the case is successful, subject to the terms and conditions of the agreement.

When we launched legal action against VW back in 2015, we believed that it was only a matter of time before other vehicle manufacturers would be scrutinised for potentially similar behaviour. Based on the evidence compiled so far, it appears that several other carmakers could be engaged in unlawful behaviour, which is why we have been representing thousands of clients for cases involving Mercedes, VW and Porsche, and Jaguar Land Rover, and now Nissan and Renault.

We will hold any company to account where it is established that they have engaged in unlawful behaviour, and we can represent eligible clients for legal cases on a No Win, No Fee basis.
