Over 600 current and former students of the University of Derby have been put at risk of contracting serious infections such as HIV and Hepatitis when a nurse working for the university reused syringe barrels for vaccinations and blood samples.
Those affected have been contacted for follow up testing, although some students may be left waiting for months for results to be confirmed.
The period of risk occurred between 2005 and 2013 and affects students for the following courses:
