You could be eligible to claim compensation if you have been affected by a falsified medical product incident, whether it is the product itself or the information given that has caused problems.

In many incidents of this nature, more than one person is affected, which is why they can form into group and multi-party compensation actions. You can contact us for free, no-obligation legal advice about starting an action or joining a compensation case here now.

Claiming compensation for falsified medical product information

You could be entitled to claim compensation if you have been affected by an issue involving a falsified medical product, or the information being incorrect relating to it. It could be the case that you receive no benefit or treatments from a falsified medical product, or it may be the case that the information is incorrect, which has resulted in adverse consequences or no effect at all.

It may be the case that you have suffered some form of side effects or problems that you were not able to fully consent to because the information you were given was incorrect. However it has happened, you could be eligible to pursue compensation in circumstances such as this, and we often find that, if something like this happens, many people could be affected. If many people are affected, that is when victims who have suffered injury and loss could be eligible to pursue a group action compensation claim.

If we believe that an action could settle, we may be able to represent anyone affected in claims for compensation on a No Win, No Fee basis. You can contact our team to discuss joining an ongoing action or starting a new one by contacting us for free, no-obligation legal advice here now.

Recent MHRA publication: Medical Oxygen B.P from Tricodent Limited

There was a recent publication from the UK’s medical product regulator, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), about a falsified medical product incident. According to the information from the MHRA, several dental practices across the UK have reportedly received falsified medical oxygen. As a result of this, dentist practices are being urged to check their oxygen supplies and make sure that they have not been supplied with the particular product in question.

The advice from the MHRA is to stop using the product immediately and to quarantine any remaining stock on site. You can read more about the MHRA publication on its website here.

The PIP Breast Implant Scandal of 2012

The PIP Breast Implant Scandal of 2012 was one of the most infamous medical product liability claims involving falsified information. Unfortunately, some of the breast implants in question were manufactured using industrial-grade silicone rather than medical-grade silicone. In addition, the shells of some of the implants were also substandard and more liable to rupture.

Thousands of people came forward to pursue compensation claims arising from the PIP Breast Implant Scandal. We continue to represent clients primarily in the French legal action and we have already recovered over £1.3m in damages for the clients we represent so far.

Unfortunately, we are no longer able to take any new cases on for this action as the deadlines that we are using have all expired.
