Samsung have had a rough time lately; unfortunately for them, things don’t look to be getting better anytime soon…

Following Samsung’s rough 2016 with many reports of Samsung mobiles ‘overheating and exploding’, and their washing machine tops detaching from the body, 2017 isn’t looking any better as Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and S7 Active owners are complaining that the glass on their smartphone camera is “shattering spontaneously!”

Californian Man sues Tesla after his car suddenly accelerated into his home

A Californian man in the U.S. has filed a lawsuit against Tesla after his Model X SUV vehicle allegedly accelerated on its own, crashing into his garage, through the walls, and into his living room!

The claimant, as the driver, and his passenger, both suffered injuries in the crash. The lawsuit was brought to court with an application to make it a group class action as another seven (7) cases were cited to have similar allegations against Tesla as well.

Family sue Apple after driver using FaceTime killed 5-year-old girl

In what may be the first in a potential line of claims against Apple and other tech giants, the multinational technology company is being sued with allegations that they caused the death of a 5-year-old girl because they failed to disable the real-time video-call chat feature, FaceTime, while a vehicle was moving at high speeds.

On 24 December 2014, five-year-old Moriah Modisette was tragically killed in an accident in Texas which involved a driver using FaceTime whilst he was driving.

And it’s that part that has led to this new lawsuit.

Samsung S6 “overheating and smoking” on flight to Taipei

If you thought the whole Samsung exploding phones saga had gone away, you’re sadly mistaken.

In a recent report, a Samsung Galaxy S6 model travelling to Taipei had allegedly ‘overheated and emitted smoke’. The Civil Aeronautics Administration and Aviation Safety Council who are investigating into the matter said that the passenger’s Galaxy S6 emitted smoke as it was crossing Philippine airspace.

“Can cabin noise cause a permanent loss of hearing?” – News from America is that a Democrat is calling for studies into the causal link between cabin noise and permanent hearing loss.

The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee in America is calling for a study into the effects of airplane cabin noise on flight crews.

Recently, Peter DeFazio, a top Democrat, raised the issue that the cabin noise may cause irreversible hearing loss. This is a huge concern for flight attendants on long haul flights, who will be exposed to the noise pollution for a long time, and this of course extends beyond the U.S. and affects our country too.

You may have heard about the ‘explosive’ devices; A.K.A. the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 mobile phones.

Following reports across the globe that the devices are prone to catching fire, with some even reportedly exploding in China, devices have been understandably banned on flights for fears of incidents in the air. In response, the mobile phone manufacturer has since set up booths in airports as part of their ongoing efforts to rectify the situation, and halted production.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 causes evacuation at Louisville Airport due to battery safety concerns

As you’re probably aware, Samsung are having a real nightmare in terms of their Galaxy Note 7 and its tenancy to suddenly set fire to itself…

In one recent incident off the back of this ongoing issue, a supposedly safe device starting ‘smoking’ at Louisville Airport when the owner tried to power off the phone on take-off at an airport. This caused a big disruption to the outbound flight and led to an evacuation.

Of course, the bigger concern is that the faulty product could have caused a serious incident had this have happened during the flight!

Faulty Samsung Galaxy batteries have been overheating and catching fire, as you may have heard in recent news stories. Obviously, this is a serious concern.

The Note 7 has been formally recalled after reports emerged about the handset spontaneously exploding. This news comes after previous incidents with phones exploding while on charge, but the reports of the Samsung Galaxy incidents so far are that they are liable to explode in people’s hands as well.
