Faulty Samsung Galaxy batteries have been overheating and catching fire, as you may have heard in recent news stories. Obviously, this is a serious concern.<\/p>\n

The Note 7 has been formally recalled after reports emerged about the handset spontaneously exploding<\/strong>. This news comes after previous incidents with phones exploding while on charge, but the reports of the Samsung Galaxy incidents so far are that they are liable to explode in people’s hands as well.<\/p>\n

Our Group Action Lawyers<\/a> are growing increasingly concerned about the reports emerging of the exploding handsets.
\n
\nAdvice is to adhere to the recall and keep the devices turned off – but with today’s heavy reliance on the use of phones, I expect most people will find this hard to live with. I know I would – I live and work through using my phone, although I’m fortunately not caught up in the recall.<\/p>\n

Some of the footage and images of the phones that have so far exploded is pretty disturbing. Someone could be seriously hurt or killed.<\/p>\n

Reports there may not be enough phones to replace affected ones!<\/h2>\n

Here’s a real concerning one – reports are emerging that there may not actually be enough phones to replace the recalled ones! This could leave Samsung in a very tricky position with their affected customers.<\/p>\n

Safety is of course the primary concern, and the phones that are affected need to be recalled. Samsung have already taken such a hit after the recall, and the recall itself will no doubt cost them a huge amount of money. But with news that there may not be enough phones to replace the affected ones, customers will likely go elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Software update deemed not good enough<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are reports of a software update which should prevent the battery from overheating and causing fire, but it allegedly halves the battery life. This doesn’t bode well for anyone who is wanting to keep the phone through use of the update.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
