Another J & J talcum powder asbestos cancer Claimant has been awarded damages in the sum of over \u00a315m.<\/p>\n

The case is one of many that has run to trial, and there are thousands of Claimants who have reportedly lodged claims against pharmaceutical giants, Johnson & Johnson, on the basis that they have asbestos-induced mesothelioma caused by their talc products.<\/p>\n

So far, millions of pounds have been awarded for J & J talc claimants, although the manufacturer and their supplier \u2013 both of whom are under fire in some of the legal cases \u2013 deny that their products are harmful.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In this latest victory, a Claimant has been awarded more than \u00a315m in damages having made a claim that she developed malignant mesothelioma that was caused by exposure to asbestos from the use of Johnson & Johnson talcum powder products. The history of the cases stems from experts confirming that J & J talc does contain asbestos<\/strong><\/a>, which has apparently happened because talc and asbestos has been mined in close proximity to one another.<\/p>\n

It has also been previously alleged that J & J tried to cover up knowing that their products could contain trace amounts of asbestos<\/strong><\/a> by specifically using tests on their talc that would not identify asbestos. Despite the strenuous denials coming from both Johnson & Johnson and their supplier, millions have been awarded to victims<\/strong> <\/a>claiming that their asbestos-related illnesses have been caused by the use of J & J talc products.<\/p>\n
